You’re So Dumb That I Can’t Even Pray for You

Anyone who makes a statement like the headline above does not know how to pray. They do not understand the value and power of prayer — or even the purpose of prayer.

We pray for those who need prayer. We pray for those who do not need prayer. We never stop praying because we don’t like or don’t understand another person. We pray for them anyway. Prayer is given unconditionally, both to those we love and those we do not like (or understand).

Pray for Everyone

If you unsubscribe from ESPN … “then you’re so dumb that I can’t even pray for you because you’re beyond hope.” — Scott Van Pelt, ESPN anchor on late night SportsCenter.

That above statement says more about the ESPN anchor than it does about those who have chosen to drop ESPN from their cable packages. He is the one without hope. I have Scott in my prayers. Of course, I also have those who drop ESPN in my prayers. Both deserve my best prayers.
